My top places to eat in the city of Toronto

One would think that a Bambi such as myself would be weight watching and not eating out every night but, I'm not and I do. I am a picky eater in the sense that I don't eat fast food but I do eat every kind of food and different food's from many different countries. I'm kind of similar to an infant, I eat every two to three hours and I tend to eat very slowly and enjoy it. Bottom line, I love food and I love eating out, here are some of my top fave places to eat in the GTA.

#1 - Terroni

When it comes to italian food, I am extra picky because my father is sicilian and that is what I grew up eating every day. I know a good plate of pasta when I taste one and the sauce has to be perfect. Terroni makes good everything, I frequent this restaurant and I always leave completely satisfied with my meal. I absolutely love the atmosphere and could sit there for 3 hours without even noticing the time go by. It's one of the coolest places to grab a bite and I always recommend it as a first for any out of towners. There are three locations but I prefer the Queen St W location. There is always a line-up to get in and always a wait for a table but the tricky part is they don't take reservations so be prepared to wait in line.

#2 - Crispy Roll

Crispy Roll and I go way back, we are good friends, great friends actually. Crispy Roll is a sushi restaurant and is located on Queen Street W. This little hole in wall is my favorite spot to grab sushi in the entire city. The rolls are the perfect size, not too big and too small. I always order the exact same thing, the signature crispy roll along with seven other things on the menu. I always order too much at Crispy Roll because I can never choose, everything is just so good. All that being said, you may want to use the washroom before you leave your house, the ladies room isn't the most pleasant place you've ever been.

#3 - Korean Grill

Are you kidding me? if you haven't been to Korean Grill you need to get there, like, yesterday. Korean Grill is heaven sent. In the middle of each table is a grill and you cook all your own meat, I know it sounds like a lot of work but it's worth it. I'm not sure what sauce they use or what they put in it, but I warn you now, it is really addictive. You can get all you can eat lunch for $8.99 a person and all you can eat dinner for $12.95 a person, the price is just a bonus. Although, it is always toss up because Korean Grill on Queen is directly across the street from Crispy Roll, and then I'm left with some serious life choices at hand.

#4 - Irie

First I must say, I love caribbean food. Amazing food here, I know some of you are scared to try new food's but if you're going to this is a good place to start. I love the vibe in this place, very chill and they have a great back patio going on for the summer months. This is a good place to go with a few friends for some food and drinks. They also have great caribbean bear, I love it and I don't even like beer.

#5 - Thai Spring Roll

I discovered Thai Spring Roll from a flyer that was dropped in my mailbox and thank God for junk mail. Thai Spring Roll has become my hangover cure, especially because they deliver. Red curry chicken? you gotta get it. Every single thing on this menu is great , it even tastes good cold at 3:00 am. Thai Spring Roll is the best delivery food on planet earth.

# 6 - United Bakers

Cabbage rolls and potato latkes with tons of sour cream and a can of Coca Cola is an ideal lunch for me. This Kosher- style restaurant has been a part of my life for years, my mother has taken me there for lunches for as long as I can remember. This is the best lunch spot, although it is not downtown it is located in the Lawrence Plaza which is a bit out of the way for most people including myself. Although it is in a bit of an inconvenient spot I still totally recommend it as a destination lunch restaurant with a friend or family member.

#7 - Fresh

Fresh is a vegan restaurant and I am not a vegan but I really enjoy eating at Fresh. The sweet potato fries with vegan mayo are the best in the city and pretty much everything on the menu is good. I realize that a vegan restaurant doesn't sound very appealing to non-vegans but give it a try because it is a pretty great place. Also, if you aren't that hungry you can always pick up a smoothie at their take out counter, they have great smoothies.
